FAQ

Answers on cost, timeline, haul-off, steep ground, and service area.

Why is your pricing a range?

Because clearing an acre of light brush on flat, dry ground is a different job than clearing an acre of heavy timber on a wet hillside. We price by the day, and the day rate reflects what your ground actually demands. Standard conditions are $2,500 a day. Difficult ground is $4,500. Severe conditions top out at $6,500. Your proposal states your rate before you sign anything.

What happens if you show up and can't work?

We'd much rather work than collect a fee. If the site isn't safe to cut — usually buried metal or old fence wire nobody knew was there — we bill a mobilization minimum and return the rest of your deposit. Get it resolved and reschedule within 60 days and we put $500 back toward your project. We'll show you exactly what needs fixing before we leave, with photos.

How do you decide how many days my property takes?

Billable acreage divided by the production rate for your cover type — roughly 4 acres a day in light brush, 2.5 in medium, 1.5 in heavy timber and thicket. Acreage is billed in quarter-acre increments, rounded up. Every job carries a one-day minimum covering up to 8 hours on site.

Does stem size change the price?

No. We record the largest stem size so we bring the right equipment and teeth, but it isn't a pricing factor. Density, terrain, ground, and access are.
